The Hancock Seed Story
Richard and Francine Hancock, the founders of The Hancock Seed Company, originated the concept of “No Till” wildlife food plot, and Hancock Seed has been constantly introducing innovative ideas and custom seed solutions for their customers since their founding. Their true roots date back 4 generations when Francine Hancock’s grandfather, Harmon Townsend, settled in Florida from Poland and began to farm different varieties of seed.
They’ve grown tremendously since 1978: Richard added new buildings for processing their seed on site, warehouses for storage, and facilities for shipping the seed directly from the Hancock Family Farm in Dade City, FL. His son, Chris Hancock, pushed the innovation further by bringing Hancock Seed to the digital world, so that seed shoppers across the world can order the best we can offer.

Hancock Seed grows and harvests many of our products, and we acquire the majority of the rest from other family farmers. All these seeds are processed, packaged and shipped from Hancock Farm. This helps them ensure that our high standards are met. Unlike much of the competition, they refuse to sell you a seed that was not gathered during the last harvest. You will always receive fresh product from Hancock.
