This heat mat is for a 10″x20″ Nursery Tray, used for germinating seeds during the cooler months of the year. Traditionally, most gardens are started during the winter months and the cooler temperatures can make it hard for seeds to germinate. The heat mat is meant to raise the media temperature 10-20 degrees to help simulate spring conditions.
This unit should not be used on clones, and those customers using the heat mat on seedlings should be aware that once the seeds have developed their first “baby” leafs the use of a heat mat is no longer needed.
