PRO-MIX® HP MYCORRHIZAE™

HP – high porosity

PRO-MIX® HP, with its high perlite content, provides a growing environment which benefits growers looking for significant drainage capacity, increased air porosity and lower water retention. The added benefit of a fibrous peat moss and coarse perlite makes this formulation ideal for growers demanding a superior quality product adapted to their needs for watering flexibility and crop seasonality.

Advice from our specialist

Whether you require low moisture retention or prefer a high percentage of perlite, PRO-MIX® HP is the choice of many growers for specialty crops, like poinsettias and flowering potted plants, or rooting cuttings. PRO-MIX® HP provides the highest air porosity of all of the PRO-MIX® blends with good moisture retention. During the winter months, many growers use this blend because of the low light intensity and short day length.

Benefits

-Dries out more frequently than general purpose, peat‑based mixes

-Well suited for low-light growing conditions and high humidity

-Less difficult to overwater crops

-Reduces incidence of water related problems (root diseases, algae and fungus gnats)

-Holds less water for improved leaching of fertilizer salts during crop cycle

PRO-MIX® BX MYCORRHIZAE™

BX – general purpose

PRO-MIX® BX offers a solution for growers seeking the benefits of added vermiculite for improved nutrients availability and a perlite content providing limited but proper drainage capacities. Combine with high quality fibrous peat moss, this formulation is ideal for growers looking for a general purpose medium which creates a well balance growing environment.

Advice from our specialist

PRO-MIX® BX continues to be the most popular growing medium and the most recognized by commercial growers. It has a high water holding capacity and provides good structure for developing root systems. A balanced starter nutrient charge helps transplants acclimate to their new rooting environment for fast root development. This formulation is perfect for the new or well established grower for uniform and predictable plant growth.

Benefits

-This product answers the needs of most growing applications

-Light-weight, low bulk‑density

-High water-holding capacity

-Vermiculite improves nutrient retention

PRO-MIX® HP-CC MYCORRHIZAE™

HP-CC  – high porosity w/ chunky coco

When seeking the ideal balance between air porosity, drainage capacity and water retention, PRO-MIX® HP-CC MYCORRHIZAE™ is the solution growers select. With unique chunk coir reducing soil compaction and a carefully selected peat moss, this formulation provides conditions promoting growth and offering a delicate, well calculated control over the growing environment. HP-CC MYCORRHIZAE™ will give growers what they are looking for, in order to optimize quality of their hanging baskets and long term crops.

Advice from our specialist

PRO-MIX® HP-CC MYCORRHIZAE™ is a blend of peat moss, chunk coir and perlite designed for hanging baskets, long-term planters and containerized perennials. This growing medium has a high water holding capacity, and care should be taken not to overwater early in the crop cycle. The chunk coir retains water like peat-based growing media; however, it does not require a wetting agent or compact like peat moss.

PRO-MIX® HP-CC MYCORRHIZAE™ requires less frequent waterings than other growing media and provides long-term “ease of rewetting” to benefit growers and end users.

Benefits

-Greater frequency of dry-down periods (compared to general purpose peat-based mixes)

-Grower can more easily leach fertilizer salts during crop cycle

-Difficult to over-water

-Well suited for undesirable, year-round weather conditions
